SHIPPING POLICY

We want your order to arrive safely and as quickly as possible. Here is everything you need to know about how we ship.
PROCESSING TIME
All orders are processed and dispatched within 2–3 working days of payment being confirmed. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays.
Orders placed on a Friday afternoon, Saturday, or Sunday will be processed from the following Monday.
During peak periods — particularly Freshers season (August–September), Christmas (November–December), and following any promotional campaigns — processing may take up to 5 working days. We will always communicate any delays by email.
UK STANDARD DELIVERY
All standard orders are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 48, which delivers within 2–3 working days of dispatch.
Standard delivery is free on all orders over £40. Orders under £40 incur a flat delivery charge of £3.50.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your Royal Mail tracking number. You can track your parcel at royalmail.com/track-your-item.
UK PREMIUM DELIVERY
For orders where faster or more secure delivery is preferred, we offer Royal Mail Tracked 24 (next working day delivery from dispatch) and Royal Mail Tracked 24 Signed For (next working day, signature required on delivery).
Premium delivery options and their costs are displayed at checkout. We recommend Tracked Signed For for higher-value orders such as the Signature and Deluxe boxes.
GIFT DELIVERY
If you are sending a box as a gift directly to the recipient, enter the recipient's address as the delivery address at checkout. You can add a personalised gift message in the order notes field at checkout and we will include a handwritten card with your message.
We do not include pricing information or invoices inside any of our boxes — all order details are sent by email to the purchaser only.
DELIVERY TO NORTHERN IRELAND, SCOTLAND, AND REMOTE AREAS
We ship to all UK addresses including Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, and island postcodes. Please note that Royal Mail delivery times to remote areas and island postcodes (including Channel Islands, Isle of Man, and Scottish islands) may be longer than standard estimates. We recommend allowing an extra 1–2 working days for these locations.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
We do not currently offer international shipping. We ship to UK addresses only. If you are based outside the UK and would like to enquire about international delivery, please contact us at hello@thesafetyedit.co.uk and we will do our best to help.
TRACKING YOUR ORDER
Every order is dispatched with a Royal Mail tracking number, which is included in your dispatch confirmation email. If you have not received your dispatch email within 3 working days of placing your order, please check your spam folder and then contact us at hello@thesafetyedit.co.uk.
You can track your parcel at any time at royalmail.com/track-your-item.
IF YOUR ORDER DOES NOT ARRIVE
If your tracking shows your parcel as delivered but you have not received it, please first check with neighbours and in any safe places your postman may have left it. If you still cannot locate it, contact us at hello@thesafetyedit.co.uk within 7 days of the expected delivery date and we will open an investigation with Royal Mail on your behalf.
Royal Mail's investigation process can take up to 10 working days. If your parcel is confirmed as lost, we will send a replacement or issue a full refund at no additional cost to you.
Please note that once a parcel has been delivered to the address provided at checkout, we cannot accept responsibility for parcels that are subsequently stolen or misplaced. If you have concerns about delivery to your address, we recommend selecting the Tracked Signed For option at checkout.
DAMAGED ORDERS
If your order arrives damaged, please photograph the packaging and contents and contact us at hello@thesafetyedit.co.uk within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or refund promptly.
SUBSCRIPTION ORDERS — THE QUARTERLY REFILL
Subscription orders are dispatched on a fixed quarterly schedule. You will receive a dispatch notification email each month whe your refill has been sent. Subscription orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48. If you need to update your delivery address for a subscription order, please contact us at hello@thesafetyedit.co.uk at least 3 working days before your next dispatch date.
